Collection: Front Magazines

Front magazine was the wild, rebellious younger sibling of the UK lads' mag scene, launching in 1998 with a mission to blend cheeky humor, punk rock, and plenty of tattooed alternative models. Unlike the glossy mainstream likes of FHM and Maxim, Front was for the lads who preferred guitars over pop, skateboards over suits, and tattoos over airbrushed glam.

It was a mash-up of everything that screamed "alternative"—music, gaming, streetwear, extreme sports, and attitude. The mag featured eye-popping photo spreads of edgy, inked-up models, and its vibe was gritty, bold, and full of mischief. It was more likely to showcase a band from the local punk scene than a Hollywood celeb.

But as the print mag world started crumbling and lads were moving online for their fix, Front found itself losing the battle. Despite having a cult following, the mag couldn't keep up with the digital revolution and, sadly, printed its final issue in 2014.

Even though it's no longer around, Front left its mark as the go-to mag for lads who were a little more rock 'n' roll and a lot more fun than your average glossy. Its legacy still lives on in the memories of those who loved its cheeky, rebellious spirit.
