Refund & Returns Policy

1. Overview & "What You See Is What You Get"

At Ladsmags.co.uk, we specialize in vintage magazines and posters. We take great pride in documenting the exact condition of our stock.

The Actual Item Guarantee: The images displayed on every product listing are photographs of the actual physical item you will receive. We do not use "stock photos" or generic placeholders.

  • Please review the high-resolution images provided on the listing carefully before purchasing.

  • Any wear, creases, folds, or blemishes visible in the listing images are considered part of the item's description.

  • We cannot accept claims for "damage" or "not as described" if the imperfection was clearly visible in the original listing photographs.

2. Magazines, Newspapers & Periodicals

Policy: ALL SALES FINAL / NON-RETURNABLE

Due to the nature of printed media and to prevent "read-and-return" practices, we do not accept returns on magazines, newspapers, or periodicals.

The Legal Basis: This policy is in strict accordance with UK Government legislation. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, specifically Regulation 28(1)(h), the statutory "Right to Cancel" (the 14-day cooling-off period) does not apply to contracts for the supply of a newspaper, periodical, or magazine.

By purchasing a magazine from our site, you acknowledge that you are waiving the right to return the item simply because you have changed your mind.

3. Posters & Wall Art

Policy: 30-DAY RETURNS ACCEPTED

Unlike magazines, we offer a standard return policy for posters. You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return if you change your mind.

Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for a refund, your poster must be returned in the exact same condition that you received it.

  • Unused: No pinholes, no Blu-Tack residue, no tape marks, and no mounting damage.

  • Packaging: It must be returned in its original rigid tube or reinforced packaging to ensure it is not crushed in transit.

  • Completeness: All original inserts or protective sleeves must be included.

4. Damages & Issues (Defective Items)

Please inspect your order immediately upon reception. While we pack our items securely, damage can occasionally occur during transit.

Reporting a Problem: If your item arrives damaged (e.g., a crushed tube, water damage due to courier negligence), or if you receive the wrong item, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • How to Report: Please use the Contact Us form on our website immediately.

  • Evidence Required: You must provide clear photographs of the damage and the condition of the external packaging. This allows us to file a claim with the courier.

Note: As stated in Section 1, "damage" does not include wear-and-tear that was already visible in the listing photos.

5. How to Start a Return

Do not return items without contacting us first. Unsolicited returns may be refused and returned to the sender at their expense.

  1. Request: Navigate to the Contact Us page on our website.

  2. Details: Provide your Order Number and the reason for the return.

  3. Approval: If your return request is for a valid item (e.g., a poster), we will send you instructions and a return shipping address.

  4. Shipping:

    • Defective/Wrong Items: We will provide a prepaid shipping label.

    • Change of Mind (Posters only): You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we cannot refund items lost in the post.

6. Refunds

Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item to ensure it meets our eligibility criteria.

  • Approval: We will notify you via email if the refund is approved or rejected based on the condition of the item.

  • Processing: If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Bank Delays: Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us via the Contact Us page.

7. European Union (EU) Customers

If the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you generally have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

However, the exemption for magazines applies EU-wide.

  • Posters: You have the right to return posters for any reason within 14 days.

  • Magazines: The right of withdrawal is excluded for the supply of newspapers, periodicals, and magazines.
