Original vintage Cover Girl Magazine, Volume One, Number Four, dating from July 1978. A genuine late-1970s British men's magazine combining glamour photography with sporting coverage, interviews, entertainment, fiction and contemporary adult-oriented features.
The front cover has a striking period design featuring a female model against a dark background, with the large Cover Girl masthead and the magazine's original slogan:
“The Magazine for the Sporting Man who likes Sporting Girls!”
The cover also carries the original 18+ age restriction, UK price of £1 and Canadian price of $2.50.
This is an interesting surviving example of late-1970s British men's publishing, with a mix of sport, glamour, interviews and social commentary typical of the era.

Mick Easterby / Horse Racing Interest
One of the strongest collector angles of this issue is the advertised Mick Easterby interview/feature. Easterby is prominently named on the front cover and again in the contents, making this issue potentially interesting not only to collectors of vintage men's magazines but also to collectors of British horse-racing memorabilia and racing-related ephemera.
The contents also reference Brigadier Gerard, one of the most famous British racehorses of the period, adding further racing interest.
Football Content
The issue also contains a feature on Jack Charlton under the magazine's “Soccer Greats” section. This gives the magazine additional crossover appeal for collectors of vintage British football material and 1970s sporting publications.
Adult Glamour Content
This is an original 18+ adult publication and contains extensive period glamour and nude photography.
The supplied photographs show multiple full-page and multi-image glamour layouts, alongside the magazine's editorial and sporting material. The imagery is characteristic of British adult men's magazines of the late 1970s.
