Large original-style Computer and Video Games (CVG) magazine fold-out poster featuring Ayane, the recognisable purple-haired character from the Dead or Alive video game series.
The poster displays colourful promotional artwork for Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, the Xbox spin-off from Tecmo's popular fighting game franchise.
Featured Character – Ayane
The main illustration features Ayane in a large, digitally rendered portrait occupying most of the poster.
She is recognisable by her distinctive short, pale-purple hair, straight fringe, purple eyes and dark headband. She is shown looking towards the right-hand side of the image, wearing a dark navy-blue one-piece swimsuit with pale edging.
The artwork uses the smooth, detailed 3D character modelling associated with early-2000s console gaming.
Ayane is positioned against a tropical beach background featuring:
-
Deep blue sky with soft white clouds.
-
Bright turquoise ocean stretching towards the horizon.
-
Pale sandy beach.
-
A predominantly blue and white colour scheme.
-
A large character illustration dominating the foreground.
The combination of the character artwork and tropical scenery reflects the beach holiday setting of Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
Video Game Branding and Details
The lower-right section prominently features the official-style Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball logo.
The title is printed in metallic grey and blue lettering, accompanied by a decorative blue wave-style graphic.
In the upper-right corner is the Computer and Video Games magazine logo, identifying the poster as associated with the long-running British gaming publication.
The publication was well known for its coverage of console gaming, including the PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and other major gaming platforms.
This poster is particularly relevant to the original Xbox era and the popularity of Japanese-developed 3D fighting games and their spin-offs during the early 2000s.

Poster Format and Reverse
The poster is a large portrait-format fold-out printed in full colour on one side.
The reverse is plain white/unprinted, as confirmed by the second photograph.
The measuring reference beside the poster suggests an unfolded height of approximately 90 cm, although exact dimensions have not been independently verified.
The sheet has been folded into multiple rectangular panels, consistent with a large poster designed to be stored in a magazine.
Only the poster is shown; an accompanying magazine is not included in the photographs.

Condition
Pre-owned condition with significant visible folding, creasing and handling/storage wear.
Both the printed front and plain reverse have been inspected using the supplied photographs.
Fold Lines and Creasing
The poster has a prominent vertical centre fold running through almost its entire length, together with numerous horizontal fold lines dividing the sheet into rectangular sections.
These folds are clearly visible across the character illustration, beach background and game branding.
The central vertical fold passes directly through Ayane's face and body artwork, creating a noticeable crease in the printed image.
Several horizontal folds cross the character's hair, face, upper body and lower sections of the poster.
The fold intersections show additional creasing and paper stress.
Reverse-Side Wear
The plain white reverse provides a particularly clear view of the poster's condition.
There is pronounced wrinkling and concentrated creasing along the central vertical fold, especially through the middle and lower sections.
Several fold intersections show small puckered or raised areas where the paper has been compressed.
The lower half has noticeable diagonal wrinkles spreading out from the central fold.
There is particularly heavy creasing towards the lower-right portion of the reverse, with several overlapping wrinkles and fold-related distortions.
The reverse also shows scattered light handling impressions and minor surface marks.
Edges and Corners
The outer edges are not completely straight or flat.
There is visible waviness and curling along portions of the left and right edges, particularly where the horizontal folds meet the sides.
The lower edge also shows unevenness and curling, consistent with previous folding and storage.
The corners appear generally present, although some minor softening and bending is visible.
Surface Wear
The printed side has several areas of surface rippling and light creasing.
These are particularly noticeable in the blue background and around the central fold running through the character illustration.
The glossy printed surface catches the light along several folds, highlighting the paper's unevenness.
The game logo remains visible and legible, and the colours appear reasonably strong in the supplied photograph.
Tears and Damage
There is concentrated wear around several central fold intersections, including small stressed areas where the paper appears slightly distorted.
However, the photographs do not clearly establish a major through-tear or large missing section.
No obvious handwriting, tape residue or substantial staining is visible.
Overall Condition
A complete-looking, large Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball gaming poster with extensive original folding, noticeable central fold stress, wrinkles, edge waviness and general handling/storage wear.
The printed artwork remains visually striking, but the poster should not be considered pristine or crease-free.
Please study both photographs carefully, particularly the plain reverse, as this shows the fold-related wear and creasing in greater detail.
