This is a particularly interesting early example of the FHM High Street Honeys format, concentrating almost entirely on the competition rather than the usual mixture of articles found in a standard monthly FHM.

MAGAZINE DETAILS

The front has a distinctive minimalist silver/grey cover with the red FHM logo and black silhouette branding. The wording reads:

Unlike a conventional celebrity-cover issue, this publication showcases 100 non-celebrity entrants from around the UK, with readers originally invited to vote for their favourite.

The opening editorial is signed by David Davies and explains the competition format. Readers had helped find the entrants during the preceding six months, after which the final 100 were assembled into this special edition.

The original competition offered the eventual winner:

• a £10,000 prize
• an FHM cover shoot
• an additional prize for the person who nominated her
• entry into FHM International’s Bikini Heaven competition in Miami in 2003

The old voting details, website information and telephone voting instructions remain printed inside, adding considerable period interest to the publication.

THE 100 HIGH STREET HONEYS

Overall, this is a used vintage copy with noticeable outer-cover wear but generally well-preserved internal pages.
