Condition Report:
This vintage edition is in used condition with noticeable cover wear. The front cover remains bold and highly eye-catching, with strong colour, clear masthead, and a prominent Dimebag Darrell / Pantera cover feature. It displays visible surface rubbing, handling marks, edge wear, corner wear, creasing, and spine-side wear. There is noticeable wear and small damage around the lower-left corner and along the bottom edge, plus general creasing across the cover from storage and handling.
The spine appears attached, but it shows rubbing, stress marks, and age-related wear from reading/storage. Internal pages appear readable and complete-looking from the images provided, with light page-turn marks, some creasing, and normal handling wear. The contents spread is clear and legible, with strong colour and plenty of visible feature detail.
Overall, this is a solid reading/collector copy rather than a mint archive example. Please review all provided images carefully to confirm the exact cosmetic condition before purchase, because apparently paper magazines from 1996 did not come sealed in carbonite.
✨ THE FAMOUS PEOPLE & HIGHLIGHT FEATURES:
🚨 Dimebag Darrell / Pantera Cover Feature:
The standout feature is the major Dimebag Darrell cover story, linked to Pantera and his signature Washburn guitar. The cover advertises “Pantera’s Dimebag gives away his guitar”, making this a strong collector issue for fans of Dimebag Darrell, Pantera, 1990s metal, and heavy guitar culture.
🌟 Dimebag Darrell Signed Washburn Guitar Competition:
Inside, the contents page highlights a competition connected to a Washburn Dime guitar signed by Dimebag himself. This is the big collector talking point in the issue. Even though the guitar is obviously not included, because that would be absurdly optimistic, the magazine feature still gives this issue strong archive value for Pantera collectors.
🎸 Albert Lee Feature:
The issue includes an Albert Lee feature, with the cover billing him as a country guitar legend. This gives the magazine crossover appeal for collectors of country guitar, session players, and classic guitar technique features.
🎸 Buddy Guy Feature:
The contents page lists Buddy Guy, described as a blues legend. This adds strong blues collector appeal and broadens the issue beyond metal and rock.
🎸 Joe Brown Feature:
The magazine includes Joe Brown, giving the issue further interest for collectors of British guitar history, vintage pop/rock musicians, and long-running guitar performers.
🎤 Northern Uproar / Oasis-Era Britpop Angle:
The cover asks whether Northern Uproar are “better than Oasis?”, giving the issue a strong mid-1990s Britpop angle. This is useful for collectors of 1990s UK music culture, Oasis-era magazine content, and British indie/rock memorabilia.
