Large double-sided fold-out movie poster featuring two well-known Hollywood films: Steven Spielberg's classic shark thriller Jaws (1975) on one side and Tony Scott's action thriller Enemy of the State (1998) on the reverse.
Both sides feature recognisable film artwork, prominent cast names, original-style promotional slogans and film production credits.
Side 1 – Jaws (1975)
The first side features the iconic Jaws theatrical artwork, one of the most recognisable designs in cinema history.
The central illustration depicts a large great white shark rising through deep blue water towards a lone swimmer at the surface. The shark is shown from below with its mouth open, while the swimmer appears much smaller near the top of the image, emphasising the scale and threat of the approaching shark.
The famous JAWS title appears in large dark-red lettering against a white background, surrounded by a predominantly black border.
At the top is the promotional tagline:
“The terrifying motion picture from the terrifying No.1 best seller.”
The lower section includes the original film's principal cast and production credits.
Notable names and details visible include:
-
Roy Scheider – Chief Martin Brody
-
Robert Shaw – Quint
-
Richard Dreyfuss – Matt Hooper
-
Lorraine Gary – Ellen Brody
-
Murray Hamilton – Mayor Larry Vaughn
-
Steven Spielberg – Director
-
Peter Benchley – Original novel and screenplay
-
Carl Gottlieb – Screenplay
-
John Williams – Music
-
Richard D. Zanuck and David Brown – Producers
-
Universal Pictures – Film studio
The artwork also includes the PG classification, Technicolor and Panavision branding, and the original-style billing information at the bottom.
The combination of the classic shark illustration, large red title and detailed credits makes this side particularly appealing to collectors of Spielberg films, vintage cinema artwork and horror/thriller memorabilia.
Side 2 – Enemy of the State (1998)
The reverse features a large promotional design for Enemy of the State, starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman.
This side uses a striking blue-and-black colour scheme, contrasting with the classic illustrated appearance of the Jaws side.
The main photograph features Will Smith in character as Robert Clayton Dean, wearing a light-coloured shirt and jacket, surrounded by a dark, atmospheric city/action background.
The image has a grainy, surveillance-inspired appearance, reflecting the film's themes of government monitoring, conspiracy, pursuit and loss of privacy.
Across the upper section are the large names:
WILL SMITH – GENE HACKMAN
Additional visible production information includes:
-
Director: Tony Scott
-
Producers: Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer
-
Production: Simpson/Bruckheimer
-
Film title: Enemy of the State
-
Printed release date: 26·12·98
-
Distribution: Buena Vista International (UK) Ltd.
-
Studio branding: Touchstone Pictures
The main title ENEMY OF THE STATE is printed diagonally across the lower-middle portion in large white lettering on a black band.
Beneath it appears the film's memorable promotional tagline:
“It's not paranoia if they're really after you.”
This design captures the late-1990s Hollywood action-thriller aesthetic, making it an interesting contrast to the 1970s Jaws artwork on the opposite side.
Collectability
The double-sided format is particularly interesting because it brings together two very different eras of Hollywood cinema.
One side celebrates the influential 1975 Spielberg thriller, while the other features a major 1998 action film starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman.
The poster would be of interest to collectors of Jaws memorabilia, Steven Spielberg films, Will Smith, Gene Hackman, Tony Scott, Hollywood movie posters and film advertising artwork.
The images confirm that this is a large, previously folded, double-sided printed sheet. However, its original distribution format and whether it was supplied with a particular publication cannot be established from the photographs.

Condition
Pre-owned condition with noticeable folding, creasing, surface wrinkles and general handling/storage wear.
Both sides have been carefully assessed using the two supplied photographs.
Folds and creasing
The poster has a prominent vertical centre fold running almost the entire height, together with several horizontal folds across the sheet.
These create a visible grid of folding lines across both film designs.
On the Jaws side, the central vertical fold passes through the title lettering, shark illustration and lower film credits. There is noticeable creasing and paper stress along this line, particularly around the middle of the shark artwork.
The horizontal fold lines are also clearly visible through the blue water illustration and across the surrounding black background.
On the Enemy of the State side, the vertical centre fold runs through Will Smith's image and the film title. The fold shows noticeable wrinkles and concentrated creasing around its intersections with the horizontal folds.
Surface wear and marks
The Jaws side has visible surface wrinkling and small creases, particularly in the black border along the left-hand side.
There are also light marks and discolouration along parts of the horizontal fold crossing the white Jaws title area.
The lower black section has minor surface rippling and fold impressions.
On the Enemy of the State side, several light scuffs, wrinkles and handling marks are visible across the darker printed areas.
There is particularly noticeable fold-related wear around the central portion of the image and the lower horizontal fold.
Edges and corners
The outer edges show general handling and storage wear.
The left edge of the Jaws side has noticeable waviness and some localised creasing. The right edge is comparatively straighter but also shows slight unevenness around the fold positions.
The upper corners show minor curling/softening, while the bottom edge has some waviness and light wear.
The Enemy of the State side similarly shows slight curling and unevenness around the outer edges, particularly where the horizontal folds meet the sides.
Tears, splits and missing sections
There is a small area of concentrated wear along the central vertical fold on the Enemy of the State side, around the middle of the poster, which may include a small split or opening in the paper.
The photographs do not establish its exact extent, so this should be treated as possible fold damage rather than a confirmed large tear.
No substantial missing section is apparent, and both film designs appear present.
Colour and presentation
The printed colours remain visually strong in the photographs.
The Jaws side retains its striking blue ocean illustration, red title and black surrounding design.
The Enemy of the State side retains its distinctive blue-and-black photographic appearance, with the white title and cast lettering remaining readable.
There is some visible ageing and handling wear, but no obvious widespread fading or heavy staining can be confirmed.
Overall condition: A large, complete-looking double-sided movie poster with prominent fold lines, localised fold stress, creasing, edge waviness and general storage wear. It is not in pristine or unfolded condition.
Please examine both supplied photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
