Original Max Power Magazine – August 1996, from the height of the UK’s 1990s modified-car and tuning scene. This issue is packed with period performance builds, custom bodywork, turbocharged cars, ICE installations, technical features, motorsport and buying advice.
The cover is dominated by a bright yellow modified Peugeot 306, promoted with the large “SCORCHER!” headline and a feature on a Dimma 306. The magazine strongly reflects the Max Power style of the era, with bold custom cars, wide-body conversions, extreme audio installations and highly modified road cars throughout.
Main Cover Feature – Peugeot 306 Dimma
The principal feature is a yellow Peugeot 306 Dimma, shown both on the front cover and across the opening contents spread.
The car features:
- Bright yellow paintwork
- Wide-body Dimma-style appearance
- Deep-dish alloy wheels
- Lowered stance
- Modified front bumper and body styling
- Distinctive period 1990s tuning aesthetic
The contents spread gives the car a large full-width image and makes it clear that this is the principal cover story.
