Original Maxim Magazine, June 2006, featuring Nina Moric as the principal cover model. The supplied images show both the distinctive front-cover presentation and interior contents pages, allowing several of the issue’s featured models and sections to be confirmed.

The main cover promotes Nina Moric with the wording “Exclusive! Her First UK Shoot!” and a large cover photograph. An interior contents image confirms her main feature begins on page 76, describing the Croatian model as the issue’s featured woman.

The magazine also contains a dedicated Girls section. The contents pages visibly confirm:

  • Nina Moric – main feature beginning on page 76
  • Shipwrecked Girls – beginning on page 96, with Zara and Annalisa named in the contents
  • Autumn Reeser – beginning on page 120
  • Kyla Cole – pictured and named within the contents, with a feature shown at page 168

The Nina Moric feature is strongly promoted throughout the issue, while the contents imagery also shows photographs connected with the Shipwrecked feature and Autumn Reeser.

Other visible magazine content includes a mixture of celebrity interviews, entertainment, humour, fashion and lifestyle material. The supplied contents pages show features including:

  • Richard Pryor – feature beginning on page 74
  • 30 Hardest Women – page 84
  • Best Summer Ever! – page 112
  • Jeff Stelling – page 134
  • Doctor of St George fashion feature – page 138
  • Pringle fashion – page 148
  • England Über Alles – page 152
  • Regular sections including Babble, Jokes, Subscription and Backpage

The cover also promotes other issue content including Kanye West and a summer-themed feature, although the title has deliberately been kept focused on the confirmed models, as requested.

A distinctive feature of this copy is the special promotional front-cover arrangement for a free DVD. The outer cover advertises “FREE DVD!” and includes a large outlined mounting/display area. The supplied photos show that the DVD itself is not present. The cover also references a competition to win World Cup tickets.

This is a good period example of mid-2000s Maxim, with a strong emphasis on model photography, celebrity interviews, humour, lifestyle and pop-culture features.

Condition

The condition assessment is based on all four supplied photographs, including the outer cover, opened cover and interior contents pages.

This copy shows noticeable handling and storage wear, with the most significant defects affecting the promotional front-cover/DVD mounting area.

There is a large irregular white tear/peeled area on the front cover around the upper-middle section of the outlined DVD area. This appears consistent with surface paper loss or damage associated with removal of an attached item or adhesive. The damaged area is clearly visible and breaks the dark blue printed surface.

A further smaller area of surface loss/scuffing is visible toward the lower-middle portion of the same dark blue front-cover panel, where the printed surface has been rubbed or lifted away.

The free DVD advertised on the cover is not present in the supplied images. The outlined mounting area remains visible.

The lower-left corner and spine area show rubbing, creasing and edge wear, including whitening and slight fraying. There are several small stress marks along the spine and lower edge.

The top-left corner and upper edge show light bending/curling, while the cover has some general surface waviness from handling.

The front cover also shows light scuffs, scratches and handling marks across the dark printed area. The large model photograph on the right remains clear and strongly coloured.

The interior pages shown appear generally clean and readable, with strong print and colour. There is some ordinary page curvature and handling wear from being opened for the photographs, but no obvious major tears or missing sections are visible in the photographed contents pages.

No obvious handwriting is visible in the supplied photographs.

Overall, this is a used copy with clear cover wear and notable surface damage where the promotional DVD was originally attached, but the magazine remains visually complete in the photographed areas and the interior contents shown remain readable and presentable.
