Original UK Zoo Magazine, Issue 272, dated 22–28 May 2009, with Katie-Marie Cork as the principal cover model and a major “Britain’s Sexiest Brunettes” feature.

This is a very typical late-2000s Zoo issue, combining glamour/model photography with celebrity interviews, Premier League football, motorsport, entertainment, gadgets, humour and current-affairs features. It is particularly strong for collectors interested in Katie-Marie Cork, Keeley Hazell, Alice Goodwin, British glamour modelling and 2000s lads-magazine culture.

Cover & Featured Models

The front cover is dominated by Katie-Marie, promoting the issue's extensive brunettes feature. Additional models pictured and named on the cover include:

Keeley Hazell
Alice
Sammy
Katie-Marie Cork

The magazine contains an extended “Britain’s Sexiest Brunettes” feature presented by Katie-Marie Cork, with large-format glamour photography and a selection of brunette models.

The supplied photographs also clearly show dedicated or named material featuring:

Katie-Marie Cork
Keeley Hazell
Alice Goodwin
Amber Dixon

Katie-Marie additionally appears as Zoo Babe of the Week, with a substantial full-page glamour feature.

The photography throughout is very much in the classic Zoo style of the period, with studio glamour, lingerie and topless modelling content. This is an adult-oriented men's lifestyle magazine and is best suited to collectors of original UK lads magazines.

Jenson Button / Motorsport Content

A major non-glamour highlight is an exclusive Jenson Button interview, promoted heavily on the front cover.

The contents page confirms a feature in which Jenson Button speaks to Zoo about the Monaco Grand Prix, making the issue particularly interesting as a piece of 2009 Formula 1 memorabilia, from the season in which Button was competing at the front of the championship.

Other motoring content includes an unusual Lamborghini accident/pile-up story.

Football & Sport

The issue also contains substantial contemporary sports material, including:

Manchester United supporters in Rome
Premier League end-of-season coverage
Zoo's selection of the best moments of the 2008–09 Premier League season
A feature on the Burnley v Sheffield United play-off final
Football humour and reader material
PlayCream & Fisticuffs
Additional sports commentary and competitions

This gives the magazine extra appeal as a snapshot of UK football culture immediately following the 2008–09 season.

Other Features

Visible contents from the photographs include:

Danny Dyer writing from Cannes
A feature concerning the Ultras waiting for Manchester United supporters in Rome
Johnny Vegas
Unusual animal stories
Entertainment and celebrity news
Gadgets
Style and grooming
TV listings
Reader letters
Competitions and humour

The contents also advertise a 10-page tribute to Britain's most delectable brunettes, reinforcing that this is one of the more model-focused Zoo issues from this period.
