Pre-owned / used magazine.
Please study all supplied photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
This copy shows general signs of previous reading, handling and storage. The front cover remains bright and presentable, but there is visible surface rubbing, light marking/scuffing and wear around the outer edges and corners. The spine edge shows some rubbing and handling wear, with minor creasing around the extremities consistent with a weekly magazine from 2009.
The lower and side edges are not perfectly sharp, and there are small areas of age/handling wear visible when viewed closely. The front cover itself remains firmly attached in the supplied photographs.
The internal pages shown are bright, colourful and clearly readable, with normal page handling and slight waviness/creasing in places. The photographed feature spreads appear securely held within the magazine, with no obvious major internal tears visible in the supplied images.
The rear cover has general surface and edge wear and also appears to have a small blue pen/ink mark towards the right-hand area. Please refer closely to the rear-cover photograph for this.
No obvious major missing sections are apparent from the photographs provided, but the magazine is not being represented as mint, pristine or unread.
Description
Original ZOO Magazine – Issue 287, dated 4–10 September 2009.
A particularly model-heavy late-2000s issue of the British weekly men's magazine, with the principal cover feature built around India Reynolds and ZOO's large “World's Best Bums” / 21-Bum Salute feature.
The front cover is dominated by the main glamour feature and carries a large selection of additional named models and celebrities, making this an especially strong issue for collectors interested in ZOO's late-2000s glamour/model photography.
Clearly named on the cover are:
- India Reynolds
- Chanelle
- Amii Grove
- BB Karly
- Jenny Frost
- Vikki Blows
- Rihanna
The cover also advertises a Chanelle exclusive, alongside the large India Reynolds-led feature.
India Reynolds Feature
The photographed interior shows a substantial full-colour India Reynolds feature under the heading “Cheeky Girl!”.
India is presented as the opening model in ZOO's 21-bum salute, with a large double-page glamour photograph occupying almost the entire spread. This is one of the most visually prominent model features in the issue and directly ties into the main cover story.
The supplied contents photograph also specifically promotes the feature as:
India Reynolds revealing her rear and kicking off ZOO's countdown of the world's best bums.
For collectors of India Reynolds appearances, this is therefore considerably more than a small news photograph – she is one of the principal featured models of the entire issue.
Chanelle
Chanelle is given prominent billing across the top of the front cover with a large “Chanelle Exclusive!” banner.
The contents page also confirms a dedicated Chanelle feature within the issue, making her another important model name associated with this particular edition.
Amii Grove
Amii Grove is clearly pictured and named on the front cover as part of the issue's model-focused content.
Jenny Frost
Jenny Frost is also clearly named on the cover, appearing among the smaller photographs incorporated into the main model collage.
Vikki Blows
Vikki Blows is another clearly identified cover model, appearing in the group of inset photographs surrounding the principal feature.
BB Karly
The cover also identifies BB Karly, adding another named model to an already heavily glamour-focused issue.
Rihanna
Rihanna is named and pictured in one of the smaller front-cover panels.
Magazine Content
Beyond the principal model photography, this issue contains the broad mixture of celebrity, sport, entertainment, humour and men's lifestyle material for which ZOO was known during the period.
The photographed contents pages show features including:
Jermain Defoe – football-related coverage and interview material.
Danny Dyer – column/feature content.
Seth Rogen / Funny People – entertainment feature connected with the film.
West Ham / Millwall – coverage relating to football crowd trouble and the League Cup meeting.
England football – international football material.
There is also the magazine's regular mixture of news stories, sport, gadgets, fashion/trainer content, humour and television material.
Why This Issue Stands Out
Issue 287 is particularly notable for the amount of named glamour/model content concentrated into a single edition.
Rather than featuring only one principal model, the cover advertises several recognisable names while the interior photographs show a major India Reynolds double-page feature and the larger countdown concept built around multiple women.
The bold red, blue and yellow ZOO design, large headlines and full-page photography make it a very characteristic example of the magazine's 2009 era.
For collectors of individual models, British men's magazines or late-2000s popular culture, the strong India Reynolds and Chanelle content is likely to be the main attraction.

Postage & Packaging
The magazine will be carefully packed for dispatch to help protect it while in transit.
Depending on the final packed size and weight, the magazine will be protected using sturdy cardboard packaging and/or suitable bubble wrap, with additional support where appropriate. The aim is to help minimise bending, crushing, corner damage, edge damage and movement inside the parcel during transit.
Particular care will be taken around the spine and corners, as these are naturally vulnerable areas on an older magazine.
Please remember that this is an original 2009 pre-owned magazine, so buyers seeking a completely flawless or newsstand-mint example should study all supplied photographs carefully before purchasing.
